Road to nowhere: why the suburban cul-de-sac is an urban planning dead end - I think they can be OK, if they allow through traffic for pedestrians and cyclists. This is not the case here, though.

‘A very street library thing’: in praise of sharing books with strangers - I love these. I am not sure if they exist in Spain. In the past, I did BookCrossing, which seems more or less dead.
